Subject: Notice on Third Party Remittances
Date:12/2/2025
Dear All,
This is a formal notice regarding the remittance of payments to our agency. As per standard procedure, all remittances must be made directly by the owner through a first-class bank. However, we acknowledge the involvement of DA Desk, which, under its contractual obligations with the owner, must remit funds to us via a first-class bank.
Please note that as the appointed agent, we must be informed in advance of any third-party remittance arrangements. Notification must be provided in writing via letter or email. Any third party handling the payment must present a letter of undertaking from the owner and comply with the regulations set forth by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)
Failure to adhere to these requirements will result in the denial of service. Additionally, please be advised that any payment involving a foreign exchange (forex) company is considered fraudulent under Malaysian law and will be subject to penalties under the Financial Services Act 2013 (Act758) and Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (Act613).
We appreciate your immediate attention to this matter.
Best regards,
Maritime Network Sdn. Bhd.
